STERLING, Va., Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TechWish, a US-based technology solutions and digital transformation firm, today announced the successful delivery of its Invoice Review Console for one of the largest electric utility and natural gas delivery companies in the United States. Powered by TechWish’s AI-Augmented Invoice Review Platform, the console brings together two core capabilities, contract parameterization and leakage analysis, to verify vendor invoices against the terms of their contracts. Through this engagement, TechWish analyzed more than $190 million in 2025 vendor invoicing across 68,000+ invoices, representing only a fraction of the invoices the customer processed during the period. Within that analysis alone, TechWish identified more than $1.1 million in potential overbilling and missed contract discounts. The console now enables the customer to identify overbilling before payments are released.
For large enterprises, vendor contracts govern the rates, quantities, surcharges and billing deadlines that every invoice must follow. These terms, however, are distributed across master agreements, amendments, statements of work and rate cards, and are articulated differently by each vendor. Because they reside in documents rather than in systems, invoices have traditionally been reviewed and approved manually.
The engagement was built on ATLAS, TechWish’s proprietary solution accelerator for turning complex documents into structured data. TechWish tailored ATLAS to the utility’s vendor contracts, capturing each rate, limit, surcharge and deadline with the clause and page it came from, and built the Invoice Review Console on that foundation.
Inside the Invoice Review Console: Contract Parameterization and Leakage Analysis
The console’s contract parameterization capability uses AI to review each vendor contract clause by clause. It extracts every rate, limit, surcharge and deadline as structured data, and records the specific clause and page from which each term originates. When validated against human reviewers, it extracted contract terms with 97% accuracy.
Its leakage analysis capability then evaluates invoices against these terms. TechWish applied it to more than $190 million in 2025 vendor invoicing, covering more than 68,000 invoices, a fraction of their total invoice volume for the period. The analysis identified more than $1.1 million in potential overbilling and missed contract discounts. These included $484,000 in regional overbilling, where work was charged at another region’s higher rate, and $87,000 in potential duplicate invoices, where the same work was likely billed twice.
TechWish designed and built the console end-to-end and deployed it on a serverless AWS architecture, with controls on AI spend, US data residency and a comprehensive audit trail.
